If you are a tourist from an EEC/EEA country then you can
use your valid drivers license from home. The same rule
applies if you are from a EEC country and are a resident
in Spain.
However, if you come from one of the EEA countries you
must, after 6 months, either exchange your license for a
Spanish drivers license or have your NIE number stamped on
the back of your drivers license.
