Costa Blanca, which means
the "White Coast" , has one of Europe's best climates with
the most sunny days per annum. Summer time temperatures
range between 25 C and 35 C while winter temperatures are
from 5 C to 20 C. The sunniest areas are around
Alicante/Torrevieja where rainfall averages 300 mm
annually, which is ideal for outdoor activities the year
round.
This Costa Blanca streaches from Denia on the North Coast
to Pilar de la Horadada on the South Coast and inland from
Orihuela to the valleys of the Marina Alta, including
Villena and Alcoi.
If you would like to experience a typical Spanish village,
then you should visit Elche, Orihuela and Villajoyosa. If
you need to do some major shopping then it is advised to
visit places other than the typical tourist towns.
